After numerous monumental b2bs worldwide, Arapu and Gescu are back together this time teaming up for Liniar return, which is already promising to be one of the most exciting releases of late 2024, and it’s set to be available this November. On this ninth piece of Liniar titled « The Horizontal Game » label boss Arapu has therefore joined forces with music mate Gescu, shaping this three-tracker with that minimalistic approach, focusing on deep grooves, atmospheric textures and harmonic frequencies.
Arapu’s work at the helm of Liniar has consistently pushed the boundaries with a subtle, groove-focused yet hypnotic vinyl curation, while Gescu has been impressively distinguishing himself for the last years by means of dazzlingly groovy performances. They started to perform together for the last couple years and made of their duo an unmissable one, which is why this first opus together on Arapu’s imprint is both long-awaited and meant to be.
This collaboration between Liniar’s label head Arapu and the ever-innovative Gescu represents a meeting of two minds that have doubtlessly helped shape the contemporary Romanian electronic music industry. This release promises to be a big one, as it captures the essence of friendship and creativeness that makes this music scene so vibrant.
