Each record has its own story, and for his much anticipated return on Meander this August, Pirvu has most certainly shaped a captivating one titled « Skylark » on which he invited his fellow music mate Dan Andrei at remix duties. Indeed, for his second appearance on Dewalta and Fabian Geimer’s label, Pirvu has been introducing emotional depths and creative soundscapes halfway between the soul of house music and breakbeat rhythms, ultimately promising a compelling addition to any vinyl collection.

Meander has a longtime commitment to be releasing forward-thinking music producers, and Pirvu is granting us here with a serious listening experience, from vocal samples to enrapturing basslines, swinging by beautiful chords and sophisticatedly-calibrated drums, he’s outstandingly delivering a melodic journey through the skylines of sounds, while Romanian artist Dan Andrei steps up for remix duties with his reinterpretation of Zuzu.
