Here is January’s selection of underground electronic events curated by MINIMALER Studio, from intimate venues to legendary spaces, this one showcases London’s flourishing minimal techno and house scene where each event promises a unique journey through the sophisticated soundscapes of minimal electronic music.

The city’s relationship with underground electronic music grows stronger, particularly evident in East London’s thriving nightlife landscape. Starlane Pizza Bar in E16 kicks off the month’s festivities on January 18th, hosting Romanian maestro Cezar and local talent A-Bril from 22:00 until the early hours of 06:00 in this intimate venue focusing on the quality of minimal sounds. Indeed, the unique combination of Starlane’s industrial charm and cutting-edge sound system provides the perfect playground for Cezar’s renowned music selections, thoroughly complemented by A-Bril’s distinctive performing style.

The following week, January 25th is highlighting the city’s diverse musical landscape and offers music for every tastes, starting with an extraordinary six-hour journey with Voigtmann in charge of the decks at Venue MOT from 23:00 to 05:00, who is a well known UK talent exploring for almost 15 years the deeper realms of minimal house and techno through his meticulously curated record collection.

The same evening, fabric hosts a monumental celebration “FOR FRANKIE” which is commemorating what would have been Frankie Knuckles‘ 70th birthday, and this event not only honors the godfather of house music’s legacy but also supports the Frankie Knuckles Foundation, bridging the historical significance of house music with contemporary club culture.

Eventually, Kizuna on Hanbury Street welcomes Ravers House’s ‘Echoes’ event from 20:00 to 02:00 featuring Alex Baciu, Ciprian Stan and Botanic Minds head Ted Amber within an intimate setting that already promises to be an uniquely immersive experience when it comes to minimal house, bridging together Eastern European and British electronic music scenes.

On January 26th, Fake Society returns to the Lion and Lamb with a particularly noteworthy gathering featuring Ion Ludwig performing one of his exclusive lives and supported by resident artist Cem Ozden. Renowned for his masterful live performances, Ion Ludwig brings a distinguished approach to electronic music that combines technical precision with organic musicality. His live sets, widely regarded as among the finest in contemporary electronic music, typically feature an array of hardware equipment that allows for genuine real-time musical creation.
