Born out of passion for sophisticated electronic music, Playedby has steadily gained a strong recognition in the underground music world for being a multifaceted project driven by a strong curatorial vision, a meticulous selection, a peculiar sense of authenticity and a dedication to quality over quantity for the last ten years, thanks to its talented creator Cristi Klebleev. He’s returning on Tripsi (Playedby sister label) with a new vinyl release titled « Dominatrix » coming in a colored splatter edition limited to 200 copies, expected to be available in late 2024. 

This third addition to Tripsi is introducing three of Cristi Klebleev’s impressive productions, blending together hypnotic rhythms, nuanced soundscapes and bombastic grooves, this is an exploration into the most cerebral aspects of electronic music, a slice of underground culture that resonates far beyond the music itself. Tripsi keeps on fostering Playedby’s motto where music is not only about the rhythm but about the stories, the art and the community it has gathered over time, taking its vision further and resulting in records that are as distinctive as they are boundary-pushing, showing a deft handling of both melody and minimalism, ultimately delivering frequencies that are both brilliant and kinetic.

The title itself evokes a myriad of interpretation, from literal connotations to metaphorical explorations of control, power and the dynamics of human interactions. Adorned with a paint courtesy of Cristi Klebleev, this release is a true sensorial experience from the eyes to the ears, a conceptual sonic artefact encapsulated within his artistic signature, an opus that is set to become a sought-after treasure for vinyl collectors.
